ALERT: Charlton - Fire Crews on the Scene of a 2nd Alarm Structure Fire

Charlton | MA | 140 Sandersdale Rd | MULTI ALARM FIRE | 2nd alarm struck for working fire in a 2 story dwelling. Smoke showing from the eaves of an attached garage w/ an in-law apartment

At approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023, the Charlton Fire Department was dispatched for reports of smoke coming from an in-law apartment above a garage.

Police officers were the first on the scene and reported grey smoke coming from the eaves of an attached garage.

A fire officer arrived a short time later confirming the reports of smoke showing from the eaves of a garage attached to a 2 story residence. A 2nd was struck bringing mutual aid companies to the scene. The fire was reported to be knocked down approximately 30 minutes after the time of the call.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

The District 7 Fire Investigation Unit has been requested to investigate the incident.
