Killingly Conn. - At approximately 5:17 a.m. on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023, the Dayville Fire Company, along with mutual aid, was dispatched to 1886 Upper Maple St, Frito-Lay for a commercial fire alarm.
The first unit arrived on the scene approximately 7 minutes after the time of the call and reported a working fire in the building. Along with these reports, a 1st alarm assignment was requested to the scene and 2nd alarm companies were called to stage in their quarters as a precaution.
Units operated on the scene for approximately 40 minutes prior to the fire being placed under control. The 2nd alarm assignment was released without needing to be utilized.
It is currently unclear if there were any injuries as a result of this incident.
Damage to the building and prolonged impact to the business is not clear at this time.
