Putnam, Conn. - Putnam Firefighters were able to keep damage to a home minimal as they fought a raging shed fire Thursday morning.
At approximately 9:05 am on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, the Putnam Fire Department was dispatched to 31 Dufault St for a reported shed fire close to a residence. As units began to arrive, the shed was reported to be fully involved, possibly fed by fuel stored within. The East Putnam Fire Department was requested mutual aid to support the crews on the scene.
Putnam Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire, keeping the damage to the nearby home to a minimum. Crews remained on the scene for over an hour overhauling the shed and ensuring all hot spots were extinguished.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
The Putnam Fire Marhsal’s Office is investigating the incident.
